Last week, Mrs. Emerald and I got to attend the last day of the Chicago Bridal Market with Kate from Project Wedding. What a fun experience. Let me share some cool new trends and goodies we ran across.

We noticed a lot of dresses emphasizing the natural waist line.

Dresses are also really customizable. Check out Watters has created belts for their dresses. One dress can be made to look 3 different ways.
Maggie Sottero and their detachable bow.
Unique necklines and sleeves could be seen everywhere.
And I saved the best trend for last! Feast your eyes on the CONVERTIBLE DRESS!

The 2 sections stay together using really tough Velcro. It’s pretty awesome! I also learned that Private Label G does quite a bit of customizing. So I highly recommend you discuss possible customizations with the store sales person and compare with the cost of a seamstress making changes. You might be surprised what is cheaper.

How awesome is that!?! Apparently, bustling could be a thing of the past.
